INFO: his wiki + his asgard app

CRAU INFO: crau from asgard, where he lived from early june 2019 to late february 2020.

the biggest change is that he has kind of learned how to people. he's still antisocial, but his support system in asgard was strong enough + the setting itself was non-apocalyptic enough that he could start to... very slowly rewire his built-in 'my only value is in keeping others alive' mindset. this has allowed him to learn how to be more tolerant of others, and then (with increasing familiarity with a person) to meet them partway instead of making them come to him entirely.
the above change did have a sort of setback, though - emil did die back in ~october and that really fucked both of them up for a bit. lalli has mostly recovered from that by now, and it seems to impact him very little in daily life, but he does still have a much more 'my only purpose is to keep others alive which i will never be able to do' mindset than he did at the start of his time in asgard. a crack remains in that foundation, only smoothed over by the fact that his generally increasing ability to people has broadened his concept of purpose a bit beyond simply his utility as a guardian.
he went through a bit of a crisis of faith. his magic in canon comes from his gods, which he has a distantly familiar working relationship with (there is no proof that they exist, but many other spiritual concepts do + magic in ssss reacts as though controlled by someone/something beyond the mages), but in asgard he was closed off from them entirely and had to learn how to functionally guide himself. he has always thought he was independent, but losing the safety net of his finnish gods taught him that he was less so than he realized. i'm going to play with this in vestige for sure.
some neat cr developments! he and emil worked their way to one another in an unconventionally romantic way. they're definitely not... a typical couple, but they are each other's Person now - and though lalli is still unconvinced that he is actually legitimately able to meet emil's needs, it's pretty great so far. the two of them somehow managed to become a familial dynamic trio with klaus hargreeves (umbrella academy), and they're pretty ride-or-die for each other. klaus specifically has been interesting cr because he has no trouble pushing lalli (emil still balks at it a little, or at least did until recently), so he has actually done wonders in helping lalli learn how to function more like a normal human being on an emotional level. namine is another great bit of cr, since she is functionally not someone he has any practical reason to ally with but her unexpectedly shrewd brand of kindness has worked her way under his skin and managed to earn her the spot of 'the person lalli hesitates least to talk to about emotion-related topics', even over emil and klaus. the final cr i'm gonna mention is ivar - the two of them threatened each other semi-actively for multiple months, then after a confrontation they accidentally bonded over the inevitability of everyone around them dying, so now there's an odd grudging respect there.
he developed the native god magic in asgard via his god honir, achieving two of his three tiers of magic (listed here).
