APPLICATIONS ARE ALWAYS MOSTLY OPEN.

IMPORTANT: We are currently still an invite only game, but starting the 15th will be accepting non-invite applications as well!

They will be processed pretty much whenever I get to them. Currently, we have few enough incoming characters that there is no official introduction log, and folks are welcome to make their own intro log/network post at their leisure. Same goes for OOC intro posts.

THERE IS NO RESERVES PAGE.

If you'd like to functionally 'reserve' your character, you're welcome to put up a placeholder comment here on the app page and edit the application and/or app link in later.

If you do this, be sure to include "CHARACTER NAME | CHARACTER CANON | PLACEHOLDER" in the subject line + your name/contact info (plurk, discord, whatever) in the body of the placeholder.

This will be valid for one week, at which point I'll delete it and free up the character.

APPLICATIONS ARE (MOSTLY) HILARIOUSLY SIMPLE.

Most everything can be linked or summarized very briefly, with a few key exceptions:


• CRAU characters need a summary of the changes brought on by their CRAU, since the canon wiki doesn't cover that
• characters with no good wiki do need a little bit of a summary just so i know what the hell
• original characters need some sort of infopage to link me and/or a general summary
• malleable protags (e.g. commander shepard) need a general list of the choices made in canon, since the wiki doesn't cover that either
Functionally, anything that I can't figure out from a linked wiki, you need to give me a little something for.

THERE'S AN EXTRA CREDIT SECTION.

This, in effect, helps me keep in mind what flavors of horror will work best on the character cluster that we have in our game. If you don't want to fuck with it, just delete the entire 'extra credit' section. Otherwise, give me the juicy deets for any or all of the questions that strike your fancy.

⬛ CHARACTER.

NAME: Graham Casner
CANON: The White Vault (podcast)
CANONPOINT: 3x10, after he's returned to Halifax but before the Documentarian contacts him again.

INFO: The White Vault is a tale of woe involving a group of scientists sent on what was sUPPOSED to be a short, simple jaunt to repair machinery and collect data from a remote Antarctic outpost. Graham was their survival guide, aka don't let all the squishy sciency tech people accidentally freeze to death or get eaten by a polar bear or something.

Unnnnfortunately, said jaunt was neither short, nor simple, and, as one piece of official merch says, the characters "just wished there were polar bears." INSTEAD there were creepy radio transmissions! and a bizarre abandoned village below the glacier! and an anatomical theater where they found a whole bunch of boxes filled with human hearts and teeth! and a monster! who slowly picked them off one by one! graham is the only survivor, and that was more luck than skill. he is currently drowning in ptsd and survivor's guilt, so that's fun!

personality wise he's taciturn and to the point, occasionally blackly, stabbily funny, and yet despite that driven almost entirely by caring for and keeping his charges safe. congratulations, you're all his charges now.

FEARS?: Currently there's just about nothing that doesn't remind him of Fristed, and while those things do painfully unsettle him the actual fear is that these aftereffects (being abruptly unbalanced by everything from dark rooms to the sound of cracking ice) won't ever go away.

REGRETS?: Being a less than present partner and father, any illness or injury any of his clients have ever sustained, the deaths at Outpost Fristed, abandoning his team at Outpost Fristed even though that's arguably like, not what happened at all, and probably not bringing more and larger guns to Outpost Fristed.

PERSONAL INSECURITIES?: anything that qualifies was covered in fears; otherwise he is disgustingly self-assured.

MOTIVATORS?: Everyone he has decided he's responsible for (which is everyone) must be kept safe and ideally at least kind of sane!!!!!! This includes not only their literal, physical lives, but also the promise of, say, additional supplies. Better food, all weather clothing, medical equipment, etc.
